Devotion by Patsy Ryan is a collection of uplifting and colourful arrangements, with Patsy’s spirituality shining through. Ryan pays homage to her belief of ancestral guidance through music and harks back to her country upbringing, writing songs that are an expression of love for nature and birds.
First inspired by her father singing at their local church, Patsy Ryan started singing from the early age of three years old. Patsy was part of a musical family, with both her mother and father singing in church choirs. As a teenager Patsy went on to find her own voice, joining the school choir before entering the world of musical theatre later in adulthood. Despite yearning to be a solo artist her whole life, it wasn’t until 2018 that Patsy began learning the guitar and writing her own music through involvement with Melbourne’s Wild At Heart Community Arts (WAH).
Devotion, produced by Avi Misra, stands as a testament to Patsy Ryan's unwavering dedication to her craft and her profound connection to the world around her. With each track, she invites listeners on a journey of self-discovery and spiritual awakening, where the beauty of nature and the power of music intertwine to create an unforgettable experience.
